Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 16, 2026
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create a parent account we collect your email address, password (stored as a one-way hash), and any profile details you provide such as your name or family name. When you create a child profile we collect the child's first name, age, an optional avatar, and, if the parent enables it, an optional profile photo. We also collect the content you create inside the Service — missions, mission values, completion records, photo proof submissions, vault balances, and messages or feedback you send us.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service we automatically collect limited technical information including IP address, device type, browser type, operating system, referring page, and timestamps. We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
If you sign in with a third-party identity provider (for example Google) we receive basic profile information from that provider (such as your name and email). If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment information directly; we receive only a subscription identifier, status, plan tier, and the last four digits of your card.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Create and manage your account and your family's data;
- Process subscription payments and prevent fraud;
- Send transactional emails such as mission approvals, weekly summaries, password resets, and account notifications;
- Respond to support requests and feedback;
- Monitor and analyze usage trends, debug issues, and improve features;
- Enforce our Terms and protect the safety and security of users.
We do not use your information or your child's information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell personal information.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days, except where we are required to retain it to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. Aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably be associated with you may be retained indefinitely.
5. Security
We use commercially reasonable technical, organizational, and administrative safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored credentials, row-level security at the database layer, and access controls for our personnel. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
6. Children's Privacy
HustleBoard is designed for use by parents with their children. Children do not create their own accounts. Information about children is collected only at the direction of, and under the control of, a verified parent. For full details — including the information we collect about children, how parents can review or delete it, and how we comply with COPPA — see our Children's Privacy Notice.
7. Your Rights and Choices
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and your family;
- Correct or update inaccurate information from your account settings;
- Delete your account and request deletion of associated data;
- Export your family's mission history and earnings records;
- Opt out of non-essential email communications using the unsubscribe link;
- Withdraw consent for optional features (for example, child profile photos) at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hustleboard.tech.
9. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services that are not owned or controlled by HustleBoard. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or by posting a notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page indicates when this version became effective. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
